Site Engineer / Site Supervisor – Substation Project

Our client leads the way in delivering advanced high-voltage transmission systems that form the backbone of modern power infrastructure. As they expand their substation project portfolio in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we are seeking an experienced Site Engineer / Site Supervisor to support critical installation and commissioning activities on-site.

The Role:

As Site Engineer / Site Supervisor, you will be instrumental in supervising and coordinating the electrical installation and commissioning workstreams on a high-voltage substation project. This role combines strong technical knowledge with hands-on site execution oversight to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor the installation of high-voltage electrical equipment.
  • Review technical drawings and ensure execution aligns with specifications.
  • Plan and schedule installation activities to meet project deadlines.
  • Forecast materials and resources to prevent delays.
  • Liaise with the client and various subcontractors for daily coordination.
  • Implement safety, quality, and environmental procedures across site operations.
  • Conduct inspections, arrange client approvals, and manage non-conformance reporting.
  • Track material requisitions and interface with procurement for timely deliveries.
  • Support site housekeeping, material security, and test equipment management.
  • Prepare red-line markup drawings and support as-built documentation.
  • Manage punch list clearance and system handover processes.
  • Maintain control over site operational costs and generate completion reports.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering and registered with the Saudi Council of Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in installation, testing and commissioning within EHV/HV substation environments.
  • Solid technical understanding of electrical systems and construction practices.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and reporting capabilities.
