My client is an international energy consultancy backed by a renowned utility, recognised globally for their technical acumen and work with cutting edge technology.
With massive growth in Europe, North America and the Middle East, Turner Lovell is looking for a Power Systems Expert to support energy integration, power supply security and sustainability and grid interconnection projects internationally.
The Responsibilities
- Support renewable energy integration, transmission system operation and stability, and market integration by:
- Defining operating principals.
- Defining power system models and validating them.
- Managing and providing data through modelling.
- Analysing dynamic stability and calculating steady states.
- Load flow and short circuits calculations.
- Completing connection compliance and grid code requirement studies.
- Support clients internationally by:
- Addressing their operational challenges.
- Proposing technical solutions.
- Developing new solutions.
- Ensure the short and long-term grid stability and resilience by modelling and managing the impact of changes on the grid.
The Profile:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with power systems
- A degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Applied Mathematics or Physics)
- Strong knowledge of power systems functions and interactions
- Proven ability to translate and communicate data as insights and actions
- Knowledge of PSSE or PowerFactory is an asset
- Experience working in a utility company or TSO is an asset
- Fluent in English, fluency in French or Dutch is a plus
- Ability to travel internationally based on project, client or business needs
- Flexible mindset, strong communicator
- If not located in Belgium, candidate should be willing to relocate
