INVESTMENT ANALYST – RENEWABLE ENERGY

Turner Lovell is recruiting for an Investment Analyst to join an ambitious offshore grid developer.

The ideal person: 

The ideal person will have gained some work experience and are now ready to step up and work independently with the support and guidance of the senior team members. You will have experience from working at an investment bank, lending advisor, consultancy or corporate finance team of renewable energy developer building large scale renewable energy infrastructure, energy generation or offshore assets. 

This person will report to the Head of Finance and work closely with Senior Management, M&A project management and the Group’s M&A teams. 

Responsibilities: 

• Commercial and financial support on a wider range of activities such as M&A projects, auction processes, or partnership opportunities, by combining your project management and analytic skills 

• Work together with/collaborate with] the financial modelling team to prepare valuations and qualitative analyses. 

• Assess opportunities based on qualitative and quantitative analyses. Assess risks and identify upsides. 

• Preparation and execution of M&A processes, including managing due diligence processes. 

• Prepare/develop presentations, analyses and recommendations for senior management 

• Navigate the bidding processes, M&A and structuring activity in the US and EU. 

• Support the preparation and negotiation of transactions and legal documentation such as MOUs, share purchase agreements or shareholders’ agreements. 

• Internal and External stakeholder management 

• Support the business development team in identifying new investment opportunities. 

Ideal Profile:  

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in private equity, corporate finance, M&A, or strategy consulting. 

• Previous experience in offshore wind, transmission or types of infrastructure projects. 

• Experience with complex buy/sell/operate investment decisions. 

• Commercial and business acumen. 

• Prior experience with complex financial modelling is ideal. 

• Ideally you would have participated in an M&A process from start to finish. 

• Excellent communicator and presentation skills, able to speak with senior executives. 

• Strong eye for detail, assuring high quality and accuracy under high pressure. 

• Personable, adaptable, collaborative, confident decision maker, entrepreneurial personality 

• Willing to travel abroad for international assignments depending on the business development or projects’ needs.
