Turner Lovell are working with an engineering, procurement, consulting and construction company focussing on expanding their UK project portfolio. Our client is currently working within the Energy-From-Waste sector and similar experience would be preferable.

We are looking for an Engineering Manager with Waste to Energy experience to coordinate the UK and international teams.  The individual will have vast CDM review experience, principle designer experience and will have a strong understanding of UK codes and standards.

Duties:

  • Coordinate between the internal UK project team and all external teams along with coordinating multiple discipline activity throughout the company.
  • Provide guidance and management of engineering designs, engineering codes and client policies
  • Ensure the engineering standards are consistently developed and updated. Providing answers to TQ’s when required
  • Ensure all teams are following compliance in alignment with the quality program set out by the company
  • Provide complex engineering deliverables for large EfW projects
  • Procurement activities (of equipment and or materials)
  • Collate and manage engineering data, ensuring calculations follow standards and regulations
  • Client liaison, identifying and communicating any key interests. Manage any changed communicated from the client with the Project Manager

Requirements:

  • 5 years’ experience on Waste to Energy projects in the UK
  • 3 years’ experience as an Engineering Manager on UK-based projects
  • 3 years’ experience as a Principal Designer (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of CDM regulations
  • Strong commercial awareness (tendering and bid evaluations)
  • Proficient in the use of IT
  • Ability to manage, lead and motivate a project team

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Engineer status
  • BEng/BSc in Civil or Structural Engineering or associated degree
