Technical Tendering Engineer – Electrical Systems and Projects

Turner Lovell is recruiting on behalf of a globally recognised engineering company that is helping shape the future of electrified infrastructure across multiple sectors. Known for delivering complex, high-performance technical systems, they are now looking to strengthen their front-end engineering capabilities in France.
We are seeking a Technical Tendering Engineering Lead to join a highly collaborative team responsible for developing winning technical solutions for major project bids.
Your Role:
You will play a critical role in supporting the sales and proposal teams by reviewing, validating, and challenging technical solutions during the tendering phase. Your focus will be to ensure robust, cost-optimised, and risk-mitigated technical offers aligned with client expectations and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and interpret client technical specifications for complex tenders
- Review and assess supplier offers for auxiliary equipment
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical solutions and delivery schedules
- Validate risk and cost estimates with subject matter experts
- Contribute to the preparation of handover documentation to project execution teams
- Support the technical project lead during project launch and technical reviews
The Ideal Candidate:
- Engineering degree in Electrical or Electrotechnical Engineering
- Proven experience developing or supporting technical offers for complex industrial or infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of common electrical systems and equipment
- Experience coordinating with internal teams and suppliers on planning, cost, and risk aspects
- Strong organisational and analytical skills; comfortable using Excel (VBA is a plus)
- Fluent in French and English
