Business Development Leader – Grid Digitalisation Software

Turner Lovell is shortlisting for a Business Development Leader to drive growth across a portfolio of digital automation and monitoring software, helping grid operators, utilities, and industrial clients digitalise their electrical infrastructure.
Our client is a global leader in energy technology and grid systems, delivering solutions that support energy transition, electricity network modernisation, and digital transformation. With a strong engineering legacy and worldwide footprint, they partner with utilities, developers, and industrials to advance sustainable, intelligent power systems.
This strategic role will focus on expanding relationships with utilities, data centres, oil & gas, and industrial operators across the MENAT region. You’ll lead customer engagement, shape proposals, and influence product direction – aligning software solutions with market needs and digitalisation priorities.
The portfolio includes solutions in asset performance management, digital substations, device management, cyber security, and analytics – enabling greater visibility, control, and efficiency across the power network.
Key Responsibilities

Build and convert a pipeline of new customers across utilities, industrials, and energy-intensive sectors

Lead full-cycle business development: opportunity qualification, proposal development, pricing, and deal closure

Engage customers to define needs and deliver tailored software solutions for digitalised grid infrastructure

Collaborate with R&D and product teams to align development roadmaps with market demand

Influence product strategy through customer feedback and regional insight

Drive regional market expansion and new segment penetration

Represent the business at key customer meetings, forums, and digital transformation events
Ideal Candidate
-
Proven success in business development and sales within asset digitalisation, grid automation, IT software, or energy digitalisation.

Strong technical background – understanding of substation systems, APM, cyber security, and grid digitalisation trends

Degree or Masters in Engineering, Business or related subjects. MBA is a plus

Skilled at translating technical discussions into commercial opportunities

Entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented mindset with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Willingness to travel extensively across the MENAT region

Fluent in English and Arabic is a strong asset
