  • Track and report on site progress, productivity, and quality outputs to senior management
  • Maintain accurate site records, including SF6 handling data and inspection results
  • Assist in outage coordination, planning activities, and multi-discipline site delivery
  • Promote and enforce high standards of safety, quality, and environmental performance across all site operations

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience supervising UK high-voltage substation projects
  • Strong capability across both electrical and mechanical site supervision
  • Practical experience working with GIS systems and SF6 gas handling
  • Sound understanding of F-Gas legislation and environmental compliance obligations
  • Background within National Grid or comparable transmission environments
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation
  • Proven leadership experience managing multiple site teams and subcontractors
  • Strong working knowledge of HSE regulations and HV safe systems of work
  • Recognised site qualifications (SMSTS / SSSTS / CSCS / Safety Passport or equivalent)
  • National Grid authorisation or eligibility to achieve authorisation

Why This Role?

  • Join a contractor experiencing strong and sustained growth in the HV transmission sector
  • Work across a secured long-term pipeline of National Grid substation projects
