We are currently partnering with a major international engineering contractor delivering complex electrical, mechanical and infrastructure projects across Europe.

This organisation has built a strong reputation for delivering high-value engineering projects across sectors such as data centres, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals and advanced manufacturing. With a significant pipeline of work across Ireland, they are now looking to appoint a Regional EHS Manager to lead Environmental, Health & Safety operations across projects in the Connacht region.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced EHS professional to drive safety performance, influence project teams and ensure best-in-class safety standards across multiple high-profile projects.

With the support or the wider team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for EHS operations across multiple projects and business units.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of EHS Leads, Advisors and site safety professionals.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and Zero Harm philosophy across all project teams.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory frameworks, company policies and client safety requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate EHS audits, inspections and compliance assessments across project sites.
  • Oversee incident reporting and investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions implemented.
  • Monitor project risk management strategies, driving proactive hazard identification and mitigation.
  • Ensure effective development and implementation of EHS plans, site inductions and RAMS documentation.
  • Review and analyse EHS KPIs, safety trends and performance metrics to support data-driven improvements.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, regulators and supply chain partners.
  • Lead training programmes, safety briefings and competency development initiatives across project teams.
  • Ensure robust emergency preparedness procedures and site safety protocols are in place and regularly reviewed.

The ideal profile is someone with:

  • A degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering or a related discipline. Professional accreditations such as NEBOSH are preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior EHS leadership role within construction, engineering, energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, compliance standards and industry best practices.
  • Experience managing multi-project safety programmes and leading EHS teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical ability to assess risk, safety performance and operational improvements.
  • Passion for developing high-performing safety cultures within complex project environments.
