Civil Engineer
Location: Dublin/Limerick/Galway (Hybrid working, with occasional site visits)
Salary: €45,000 – €60,000 (+ benefits)
Position: Permanent
Our client, a highly regarded engineering and construction firm are looking for a Civil Engineer to join their existing Civil Engineering team in Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to the Power & Renewables sector, covering the entire project lifecycle and a wide range of Civil Engineering disciplines.
The successful candidate will join an experienced team under the line management and guidance of senior colleagues to support and enhance our existing capabilities. As a Civil Engineer, you will manage, coordinate, and oversee a variety of Civil Engineering works from tender to post-construction, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop civil engineering conceptual designs including earthworks design, drainage layouts and similar.
- Assist in preparing tender proposals by providing technical expertise and participating in estimating and design review sessions.
- Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time and meet the required standards.
- Prepare scope of work documentation.
- Evaluate external civil designs to verify adherence to specifications, project requirements, and client expectations.
- Managing interface between contractors and civil designers to ensure the site is prepared and ready for the construction phase.
- Provide civil engineering support throughout the construction phase, addressing any changes in scope, including adjustments to cost, time, and quality.
- Perform site visits and audits at critical stages to ensure the work aligns with the approved design and meets all relevant standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years’ post-graduate experience, ideally within the Power, Renewable, Utilities, Rail or similar sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD (2D). Experience with Navisworks, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Autodesk Revit is beneficial.
- Willingness and ability to undertake site visits across Ireland.
