We are now seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team. This role focuses on delivering smart automation architecture, integrating cybersecurity, and supporting critical energy infrastructure projects.
Your Role:
As an Automation Engineer, you’ll design, develop, and implement control systems while interfacing with clients and certifying bodies. You’ll play a key part in delivering modern industrial automation solutions used across international marine and energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design functional architectures including PLCs, communication networks, and HMI interfaces.
- Develop technical documentation for design, installation, and testing.
- Program and improve control systems and related engineering tools.
- Lead the deployment of required cybersecurity measures across automation systems.
- Collaborate with CAD teams to produce wiring diagrams, interface lists, and equipment drawings.
- Act as a key contact with clients, certifying bodies, and suppliers during system validation.
- Organise and conduct factory acceptance tests with clients and certifiers.
- Track engineering activities including planning updates, cost control, and documentation delivery.
- Provide technical support to Sales, Commissioning, and After-Sales teams.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Industrial IT, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar automation or control systems role.
- Skilled in PLC programming, HMI systems, and industrial network infrastructure.
- Proficient in standard office and engineering tools.
- Fluent in both French and good command of English.
- Able and willing to relocate to Bourgogne; EU work permit mandatory (no visa sponsorship provided).
- Willing to travel within France and abroad for client meetings and commissioning phases.
