HVDC Senior Sales & Tender Manager

Turner Lovell are specialist recruiters for high-voltage transmission and HVDC infrastructure projects across the Middle East, Europe, and North America. We are supporting a global energy technology and engineering firm in their search for a Senior Sales & Proposal Manager to lead tendering and commercial activity for HVDC projects across the MEA region.
This is a strategic role for a commercially focused leader with deep experience in bidding and closing large-scale HVDC projects. You’ll take ownership of deal strategy, pricing, approvals, and customer negotiation, ensuring competitive and compliant proposals that align with business and margin targets. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the growth of HVDC projects for this organisation in the Middle East region. Preference is for a Saudi national but other nationalities will be considered if you have experience bidding for HVDC projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead tendering activity for HVDC projects across the Middle East and Africa.
- Build a strong HVDC project pipeline and support accurate order forecasting.
- Define and drive bid strategy, pricing, target costing, and deal structure.
- Coordinate with commercial, legal, and technical stakeholders across regional and global teams.
- Oversee development of high-quality proposal submissions and manage clarifications post-bid.
- Support internal deal reviews and approvals in line with delegated authority.
- Participate in final customer negotiations alongside the sales team.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, risk protocols, and EHS requirements.
- Contribute to global commercial process improvements, standardisation, and bid governance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
- Significant experience in HVDC tendering, proposals, and sales, ideally in EPC or OEM environments.
- Proven track record managing full tender cycles, from strategy to submission and negotiation.
- Strong knowledge of commercial terms, risk management, and cross-functional deal coordination.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, multinational environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
